Ethics at ISU serves students, faculty, and staff, as well as stakeholders across the state of Iowa. We provide ethics expertise to meet the grand challenges of today and tomorrow:

    Our experienced faculty lead and contribute to nationally funded grant projects. We consult and collaborate on a diverse range of research projects, with expertise in broader impacts and the ethical, legal, and social implications of new science and technology.

    We teach the next generation of leaders. Our highly successful courses, our Ethics Minor, and our Applied AI Minor prepare students for the next generation of ethical challenges.

    Ethics and Community

    On campus and throughout Iowa, we foster civil discourse about the issues that matter most. We partner with local government, schools, libraries, hospitals, boards, commissions, and other public groups to address the ethical dimensions of policies, procedures, technological developments, civic engagement, and everyday life.
