Returning Teams
Iowa State University covers all expenses for the state competition, but National High School Ethics Bowl charges schools a fee to cover expenses for the national organization. Early-bird registration is available on their website for $175 in September and October, after which the fee is $250.
Each registered school can field up to two teams (of 3-7 students each) in the Iowa Ethics Bowl, but additional students and parents are welcome to attend and observe! Observers must refrain from interacting with competitors during rounds.
New and Notable
Starting in the 2027 season, members of the winning state team will each be eligible for a $1,000 LAS scholarship upon enrolling at Iowa State and pursuing a degree in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Other standout participants may also be recognized with this honor.
